So, tinkering is all about fiddling with things. What’s so important about it?

Tinkering is the best way to learn. Especially learn how to make new things or make things better. This needs to be the goal of education, and not just literacy or conceptual learning.

A Tinkering Lab is a library. A library not of books. A library of things you need to experiment with, make new things, innovate, invent. Tinkering Lab needs to be a part of educational institutions just like book libraries are. The visionaries who started setting up libraries at schools centuries back knew the value of such learning. Today’s visionaries should know the value of a Tinkering Lab.

Set up a Tinkering Lab in your institution and provide opportunity to your students to become innovators and inventors. These skills are needed for both employability and entrepreneurship.
